WAYNE WALDACK
City councilor -
Marco Island (Florida USA)
- Wayne Waldack majored in
Aeronautical Engineering at Lewis College in Lockport, Ill., but
later chose the career path of building maintenance when the need
of aeronautical engineers were lessened in 1959.
- In 1969 Waldack went into real
estate in Illinois and opened his own firm in Hinsdale, Ill.
He currently is a licensed mortgage broker.
- Wayne, born in Chicago in 1939, has
one grown daughter, Theresa, and six grandchildren. His first
wife, Phyllis, passed away in 1981, as did his son, Robert, in
2005.
- He has vacioned on Marco Island
since 1965, when his parents Albert and Lillian bougt and built a
house there, moving in permanently in 1972. Wayne moved to the
island full-time in 1995 to care for his elderly mother.
- Waldack is involved in the Knights
of Columbus and San Marco Catholic Church as an usher and
Eucharistic minister.
- Wayne Waldack was elected as city
councillor in 2008.
